Culburra Beach

Culburra Beach is located approximately 18kms from Nowra, Culburra Beach has a population of  2,677 and is the regional centre for the coastal villages of Currarong, Callala Beach, Callala Bay and Orient Point.

The town also boasts the two closest surf beaches to Nowra.

You’ll discover your own piece of beachside heaven at Culburra. Culburra Beach is the town’s main attraction where you can surf, swim, fish or take a stroll along the sandy beaches.

Lake Wollumboola is also a very popular destination while visiting Culburra Beach, Lake Wollumboola is an intermittently opening coastal lake that is used for a number of recreational purposes depending on the water level in the lake. When the water level is high, sailing, windsurfing and water skiing are all popular. Lower water levels encourage a wide variety of bird life turning the region into an ornithologists delight. Lake Wollumboola also has picnic areas and a boat ramp.
